Applications should be submitted six weeks before the planned start of the project, as long as funding is available.

Subsidy for performances up to 50% of the fee (excluding ancillary costs such as travel and KSK) 

If three or more concerts are applied for simultaneously in a calendar year (1 January to 31 December), the subsidy increases to 60% of the fee from the third concert onwards if the performances are in one city, spread over the calendar year, relate to several bands and are applied for at the same time. The increased subsidy applies from the third subsidy application onwards. Multiple performances by the same ensemble are not eligible for this increased subsidy.

Subsidies are applied for on a per-performance basis.

Content-related connection to the ‘Musikkulturen’ funding programme

Location in one of the member cities of the NRWKS or institutions of the Rhineland Regional Council

Public accessibility (exception: internal school events)

No project start (i.e. public relations work, conclusion of contracts, awarding of contracts, payments) before submitting an application on the NRWKS funding portal

No funding for parties or organisations with a profit motive

Applications must be submitted exclusively via the NRWKS funding portal.

Please note whether additional documents, such as letters of recommendation or letters of approval from other funding bodies, need to be uploaded to the funding portal.

Applications are generally open from 01 February to 31 March for the season after next at the time of announcement.
