Kulturstrolche

The promotion of experiential learning opportunities for primary school children in the field of art and culture is already firmly established in the programme of 13 member cities.

As part of the ‘Kulturstrolche’ funding programme, primary school children from selected schools learn about the cultural diversity of their city in class groups accompanied by teachers.

Cultural institutions and artists from the member cities of the NRWKS work together with local project managers to develop a varied and high-quality cultural programme that covers all disciplines and is tailored to grades 2 to 4. The programme is managed in cooperation with the Kultursekretariat NRW Gütersloh.

Applications can be submitted by cultural offices from member cities after prior consultation with the NRWKS.

In 2026, the programme will be available in Bielefeld, Bochum, Bonn, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Gelsenkirchen, Hagen, Moers, Mönchengladbach, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Neuss, Oberhausen and Recklinghausen

Programme offerings and content are available at kulturstrolche.de.
