Eight curators and organisers of residency programmes from Australia, France, India, Poland, Spain, the USA and the United Kingdom travelled to Schöppingen from 11 to 18 July for the summer seminar "Towards Perma-Cultural Institutions. Exercises in Collective Thinking", they travelled to Schöppingen from 11 to 18 July to take part in workshops, discussions and public events on the question of how the ethical principles of permaculture (Earthcare, Peoplecare, Fairshaire) can initiate a sustainable transformation of cultural institutions that goes beyond the application of ecological guidelines.

As part of the trip, the group also met with Jörg Albrecht, Artistic Director of the Center for Literature (CfL) - Burg Hülshoff, and Dominik Otremba, who is responsible for coordinating the residency programmes at the CfL, in Havixbeck. In Münster, the guests visited the Westfälischer Kunstverein and met its director Kristina Scepanski.
