KLAENG Jazzkollektiv Köln e.V.: KLAENG Festival 2022 and Artist in Residence: Thomas Morgan

As part of the International Visitors Programme's individual travel grant and in collaboration with the KLAENG Jazzkollektiv Köln e.V., photographer Susan O'Connor and jazz journalist Ken Waxmann from Toronto (Canada) took part in the KLAENG Festival 2022 in Cologne from 12 to 14 November.

As multipliers and renowned players in the international jazz scene as well as editors of the online format Jazzword.com, Susan O'Connor and Ken Waxmann were invited to attend the festival's concert events at Stadtgarten Köln (in cooperation with Soundtrips NRW, among others) and a lecture on "Artist in Residence: Thomas Morgan" at the Loft (in cooperation with HfMT Köln, among others) for the purpose of reporting and artistic documentation. The visit also served to plan a future collaboration with the KLAENGrecords label and to establish contacts with the jazz scene in NRW.
