"Branching from Ashes", a research on Cuban music and dance and their connections to local history, will take artist Claudia Iglesias Ungo to Havana, Cuba, and to the company Danza Contemporánea de Cuba at the Teatro Nacional.

In this context, the question of identity as a dancer is also linked to the African diaspora and its heritage. With this research, Claudia Iglesias Ungo wants to explore a movement vocabulary that can articulate the local social discourse.
