CircusDanceFestival 2025 & Conference EU-Project »Take Care«

Nicole A’Court-Stuart, co-director of the Circus City Festival in Bristol, travelled to Cologne from 6 to 9 June 2025 as part of an individual travel grant to attend the CircusDanceFestival. In addition to attending selected festival events, she took part in the conference on the EU project “Take Care” on 7 June. Nicole A'Court-Stuart's visit and personal exchanges served to initiate future cooperation between Circus City and the CircusDanceFestival. The festival programme, curated by artistic director Tim Behren, and the conference, conceived by Valentina Barone, International Relations, brought together around 140 professionals from different parts of the world. The on-site visit provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with the professional audience from various European network organisations such as circostrada, w/ co-production network, Circus Dance Info Finland, FEDEC and Coordinamento Cresco, to network with the contemporary circus scene in North Rhine-Westphalia and to deepen the curatorial exchange between Circus City and the CircusDanceFestival.
