Depending on the project, two different funding rates are available: one for discourse formats (discussions or other exchange formats) and one for artistic projects with a discursive component. In the latter case, an introductory lecture, an interspersed discourse or reflection within the performance, or a panel/audience discussion after the event is a prerequisite.

A further requirement for funding is the inclusion of an underrepresented group in the project. 

Thematically, the programme focuses on projects dealing with individual, social and structural differences and similarities between people and groups. Core dimensions include areas such as ethnic and national origin, age, social background, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, physical and mental abilities, and religion and worldview. 

Qualified and/or project-experienced artists, as well as event organisers, cultural institutions and members of the NRWKS, are eligible to apply.
