Cooperated Projects

‘Cooperated projects’ are activities that are not limited to a specific field, take place in at least two member cities and are open to the public.

Providing impetus, creating synergies, facilitating transfer – projects in this programme must meet at least one of these criteria in order to be eligible for funding.

The prospect of continuity is possible: Individual ‘cooperative projects’ can represent the start of long-term and sustainable further development of successful programme approaches. Sometimes, permanent and growing networks emerge that develop into independent funding programmes of the NRWKS; this has happened with ‘Soundtrips NRW’, the digital portal ‘DANCEweb NRW’ and the festival ‘Literarischer Sommer/Literaire Zomer’.

Members, event organisers, artists, institutions and initiatives are eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted throughout the year.

IS THERE AN APPLICATION DEADLINE?

No application deadline

Applications can be submitted throughout the year, as long as funding is available

Applications should be submitted six weeks before the planned start of the project, if possible

WHAT IS THE FUNDING AMOUNT?

Max. 15,000 euros (as a rule)

At least two members or two cultural institutions from the member cities must make a financial contribution. This is in a ratio of 1:3 to the NRWKS funding. The calculation can be made as follows: The financial contribution of the municipalities and the NRWKS funding together amount to 100%. The NRWKS funding can therefore amount to up to 75%, while the financial contribution from the cities must be at least 25%.

Location in one of the member cities of the NRWKS.

Public accessibility.

No project start (i.e. public relations work, conclusion of contracts, awarding of contracts, payments) before submitting an application on the NRWKS funding portal.

No funding for parties or organisations with a profit motive

Financial support from participating local authorities or their publicly funded institutions (proof required in the form of a letter of approval or similar)
