ACT LOCAL!

ACT LOCAL! sees itself as a platform for independent artists and cultural professionals in North Rhine-Westphalia. The ever-growing network, which was initiated by the NRW KULTURsekretariat, was created as part of the conference of the same name in 2024.

ACT LOCAL! aims to make the various cultural perspectives and artistic practices in North Rhine-Westphalia visible and advocate for the continuation of already established and lived visions as well as work on the further development of an even more diverse and internationally networked scene of independent arts and cultures in NRW.

In the current political climate, which is challenging for the arts and cultural landscape here, and in the interests of a continued diverse scene in NRW, a solidarity-based association of all artists and cultural professionals in North Rhine-Westphalia is of particular relevance.
