The International Visitors Programme has invited more than 840 guests from 93 countries (as of January 2018) to participate in research trips, event trips and press trips for curators, journalists, festival directors and other networking representatives. The aim is to promote creative artists and cultural leaders in NRW and to support their international focus through sustainable networks.
Your interest is our interest: developing contacts, fostering networks and initiating cooperations – through intensive support of the guests and communicating with regional partners through the NRW KULTURsekretariat. The trips are offered in different artistic disciplines.
The visits are scheduled for between 2 to 5 days. They can be organised for special occasions (festivals, cultural events, conferences) as group visits with participants from different countries.
The focus is therefore on bringing certain institutions, event organisers and profiles together and on visiting cultural events in North Rhine-Westphalia.
All groups are accompanied by a competent guide who provides the guests with basic information on NRW and the regional arts and cultural scene, its functions and opportunities, and with information about the NRW KULTURsekretariat and the International Visitors Programme.
The guide is available to answer any questions and creates a personal link between the visitors, the International Visitors Programme and the partners in NRW.
International guests can thus learn about cultural life in the Rhine, Ruhr and Lippe regions of NRW and network with the cultural scenes and their representatives.
