Cultural institutions of all fields and cities are encouraged and called upon to consult in the selections of visitors, to stimulate visits and to help to take care of the participants locally. It is important to involve and expand existing international contacts and experience of the creative artists in NRW.
Communal cultural administrations and departments of culture at consulates in NRW are also involved. Visitor trips are also organised for the guests of the cities in NRW and the Ministry of Culture.
Moreover, the programmes of the NRW KULTURsekretariat are incorporated.
The partners of many years with whom the cultural institutions cooperate abroad as well as overseas representations of the Goethe Institute, local cultural organisations, field associations and departments of culture of the embassies act as partners abroad.
In individual cases international associations like EUNIC (European Union Institutes for Culture) or CCP (Cultural Contact Point, representations in 37 countries inform about cultural promotion on EU level and consult on European cooperation projects) could also be consulted.
Continuation of close cooperation is in particular planned with the Visitors Programmes of the neighbouring countries (e.g. Netherlands and Belgium).
