Soundtrope Festival

q   Transfer International

Soundtrope Festival is a contemporary music festival dedicated to sound & visual performing arts and to the interaction between them and audience. It is about a collective and multicultural enterprise that begun in 2013 in order to promote art expression through innovative ways.

The main goal of the festival is to gather artists (no matter their professional background) in order to create one united art-community which will be in a lasting evolution through new art projects.

Although Soundtrope Festival exists only a few years, it has managed to make a united music-circle with international artists and host various forms of art expression. We had the chance to collaborate with musicians, artists, dancers, photographers, video artists, cinematographers and writers from all over the world (Greece, France, England, Berlin, Stockholm, Chile, Canada, Romania, Croatia, Italy and Africa).

It is of great importance that the Soundtrope Festival has also been in collaboration with the university community of Greece and has created a really strong connection with the Ionian University and the Department of Fine Arts and Art Sciences of the University of Ioannina.

The »Transfer International« programme is an amazing chance for our festival to go even further and evolve, as it will give us the opportunity to work with reputed artists and share our vision and passion for music and arts.

With the programme of »Transfer International« we want to create a unique art event with the participation of musicians, dancers and real time visuals projections.

The artists from North Rhine-Westphalia we want to include in this event are two remarkable and talented musicians Thomas Sauerborn (drums) and Matthias Schüller (trombone).

Ιn this unique event, which will include music, visuals and dance will take part of five artists and it will take place in a remarkable and highly active artistic venues in Athens as it is KET, Underflow Record Store & Gallery or in Athens Conservatoire.
