Werkproben

The idea behind “Werkproben” (Work Samples), the reading and literature programme, is to promote interest in reading, especially in children and adolescents. Since 2005 the NRW KULTURsekretariat together with the Kultursekretariat NRW Gütersloh have offered schools and literature event organisers this guide for the design of a quality literature programme. There are significant financial contributions for events, without which the many readings and workshops, especially in schools, would hardly be possible. The now third “Werkproben” programme once again covers the entire spectrum of literary productions. In addition to prose and literature for children and teenagers, also the genres of lyric and slam poetry will once again be supported.

Altogether, twelve authors were selected for a current edition by a distinguished jury. They can be invited to readings and to some extent to workshops at special rates.
