Sponsorship of contemporary musical theatre productions at opera houses in North Rhine-WestphaliaIn 2010, the NRW KULTURsekretariat will once again receive special funding from the Culture Department of the State Chancellery to the sum of 250,000 Euro for theatres, enabling the production of commissioned compositions, original performances and music and dance theatre premieres with contemporary music. With over 70 sponsored productions since its launch in 2001, the Fund demonstrates how municipal and regional theatres can be successfully encouraged to regularly include a contemporary or recent repertoire in their programmes.
