In 2008, the »mobiLES« buses and trains of the public transport system, each with three authors on board, rolled through the literary autumn scenery of North Rhine-Westphalia for the fourth time. The field of literature was peppered with top names like never before, including Karen Duve, Ricarda Junge, Judith Kuckart, Rolf Lappert, Thomas Pletzinger Tilman Rammstedt, Peter Stamm, Hans-Ulrich Treichel and Jan Costin Wagner. Six cities took part in the programme and public acclaim provided great encouragement for the planning in 2009.
Excerpts from current works of prose will be read at »mobiLES«, be it on the road, standing up or sitting down, during the journeys or even in between. In any case, a special reading experience is also guaranteed for 2009 when aural impressions and visual stimuli intermingle again with complex figures and fabulous stories.
