With “Haste Töne? - So klingt Schule!” (“Got tones? – That’s what school sounds like!”) the NRW KULTURsekretariat is providing pupils and their teachers with impulses and assistance on the path to creating their own new music as composers.
The youngsters can express what moves them together with others or in discussion with composers and musicians. The principles behind various techniques from improvisation to chamber music, from electronic to vocal music are developed in order to arrive at their own experimental forms of expression. There will be space for encounters with notable artists from today’s world of music, who are accompanying the project as mentors. The pupils will also experience how their own music is developed by a professional ensemble and finally performed.
Partners of the project are the Konzerthaus Dortmund and the Landesmusikrat NRW with the Studio musikFabrik Jugendensemble.
