Museum Ostwall im Dortmunder U

Museum Ostwall im Dortmunder U is dedicated to art of the 20th and 21st centuries and in addition to outstanding works from numerous art movements of this period mainly houses highlights in the areas of expressionism, fluxus, nouveau réalisme and concrete poetry. These works mainly found their way into the collection of the Museum Ostwall im Dortmunder U through the purchases of the Gröppel Collection (1957), the Feelisch Collection (1987) and the Cremer Collection (from 1991) and form their foundation. In addition, the museum has a focus on colour painting (through numerous loans) as well as many of its own and lent works from the informal art. The museum will present itself in the completely transformed “Dortmunder U” from October 2010.
