• Born in 1961 in Bonn
• Musicologist (dissertation on the topic of opera in the 18th century), has also continued to work in the field
• Extended period of study at the German Study Centre in Venice
• Musical theatre and play dramaturge, employed and freelance, in Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna and elsewhere
• Journalistic work for daily newspapers and specialist press
• Developed and implemented concert series as radio producer in Frankfurt and produced CD recordings
• Also conceived and implemented concerts for Hessischer Rundfunk throughout the state of Hesse
• Long-standing music adviser to the Goethe-Institut
• Vice Chairman of Deutsch-Türkischer Kulturrat NRW e.V.
